House Photo

I hate men in turtlenecks. That being said, I? Am this photo's bitch. And this one's too.

Thanks to Auditrix for sending me the link.

*sigh* But they're so dark! How are we going to examine the backgrounds and see what he's reading and what kind of piano he has?

I love the fact that House has books stacked *everywhere,* too. :-) Suggests a lot of 'sleepless nights' to me. :-) I also think it supports his, "I'm the most curious person I know" comment from one of the eps. The fact that he's a bibliophile (lover of books)supports his active intelligence and continuing quest for knowledge. :-) In combination with his musical talents, it opens up the sensitive/artistic side of his personality. What he can't (or won't) communicate through words, he can express through his music.

Sanlin :-)

the books! that's one of the things I like about House. I'm a big bookworm and I love seeing what other people are reading. Those can't all be medical journals.

Yeah, absolutely. There's no way they're all trade journals and dry medical textbooks. Not when House can reference Dante's "Inferno" (ex: the different circles of Hell), reads poetry, and often quotes or references material from all over the spectrum (books, music, pop culture, etc.). I enjoy the character's 'addiction' to pop culture, fads, gadgets and trivia, too. LOL

OY, books... I have, literally, about 40 boxes of them. LOL Book stores are completely irresistible to me, unfortunately... LOL That doesn't count all the reading I do online, either. ;-) As an infamous insomniac and chronic pain sufferer, I've spent a lot of nights with my nose in a book. Not to mention the fact that I've always been insatiably curious about virtually everything... LOL

Yes, I would kill to know what's on House's bookcase. (Or in his case, on his piano.)

PLEASE tell me the piano's a Steinway so I can just swoon with joy.

Hee. Yes, the scenes with him drinking Scotch and playing the piano while surrounded by books get me every time.
